Motherhood Makeover: How I Went Down from 230 to 130 with Simple  Bedtime Tonic

I am Emily. For most of my life, I never worried about my weight, holding steady at a size 8. But after my 31st birthday, the pounds began to creep up.

Part of the problem was due to my metabolism slowing down with age, but my diet was also
a factor. I always go double-double or large size on my orders.

By 35, I topped 200 pounds, and my weight begun to affect my wellbeing. I dreaded getting dressed every day because I hated the way I looked. I avoided activities I used to love because I was constantly winded and uncomfortable doing almost anything — even tying my shoes.

After the birth of my first, I was 230 pounds and determined to make a change. Let me share with you my inspiring story of 100-pound weight loss and how it transformed not just the way I look, but more importantly, the way I live.
When I and my husband went on a vacation, my knee got so swollen and sore that I couldn't even walk on it.

I'd already had one knee surgery, which was caused by the stress on my body of carrying around extra weight. I'd try to hobble along with him, but I missed most of the places we planned to visit. With my situation, we cut our vacation short.

When we got home, I had a complete breakdown. I remember sobbing and telling my husband I was miserable. I couldn't stand to look at myself. I was tired all the time. I used to be so outgoing, and now I just wanted to eat and sleep.

The very next day I joined the gym and signed up for a personal trainer who worked with me. I also changed my diet.

After six months of laser focus, I had lost 30 pounds and was on my way to reaching my goal of 50 to 60 pounds.

I Lost 30 Pounds — Then I Got Pregnant!

Then, in September, I found out I was pregnant. The pregnancy came out of nowhere and I think it was 100 percent due to my weight loss and exercise.

Although thrilled about the addition to our family, I was devastated at the thought of my efforts being 'wasted.' I stopped working out and went back to my old habits. I justified eating more because, hey, I was eating for two, right?

June, I had a baby boy. I had gained 70 pounds and was up to 230, the highest I'd ever been.

When my son was six weeks old, a friend of mine had a bachelorette pool party. I was sitting there feeling like a whale among the other girls. It was awful. My support system would say things like, “Everyone gains weight when they're pregnant, and you'll lose it again.” And “No one expects you to look perfect.”

But this was not baby weight — I did this to myself. I knew I had to do something about it.

How I Lost the Baby Weight — and Then Some

Everything changed when I visited my doctor last summer. I confided in him about the crisis I'm facing.

In a very soft voice, he said, “There is nothing to worry about, Akiko. I want to share with you this easy-to-prepare drink that I have learned from a convention that I have attended last month.”

“My colleagues are slimming down just by taking this 7-second bedtime blue tonic.  As I am convinced with its effectiveness, I want to share this with you."

"Evelyn, this is the real solution to your problem!”

I couldn't cut calories because I was breastfeeding. I started tracking my food intake again.

I had no idea what I was actually eating until I started tracking. For example, on Halloween I consumed 1,200 calories in fun-sized candy bars. I thought, "Oh, it's the fun size, it's just 90 calories." But then I ate a handful of them throughout the day without even realizing it. So, when I saw my weight jump up, I knew it was because I had raided the Halloween bucket.

By January, I had to stop breastfeeding due to a medication I needed to take. I felt terrible not to be breastfeeding.

My son gave me the motivation to be healthy. I love that I can get onto the floor with my toddler and throw him around and do flips and burpees with him. I could never have done that three years ago.

I'm an older mom, so I'll be in my late 50s or 60s when he's in high school and college. I want to be able to participate in all those things with my kids that I couldn't even do when I was in my 30s — like going to theme parks where I am just as energetic as they are, and even running Spartan races with them.

A Transformative Encounter

Something changed. A coworker, someone who I have trusted, introduced me to a simple evening ritual that she had been practicing. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try, and the results were nothing short of remarkable.

My husband, who has likely witnessed my ups and downs, couldn't help but notice the change in me. Whatever this new routine was, it was having a profound impact, and he couldn't help but ask what had changed.

What Changed?

Now, you might be wondering, what was this magical routine?  Well, it was simple, really.  Just a few easy steps every evening, just 7-seconds before bedtime, and voila!

A happier, more energized version of myself emerged.

If you're curious about what made my husband ask, "What changed?" then you're in luck! You can discover the secret routine too. It's easy, it's fun, and who knows? Maybe someone special in your life will start noticing a change in you too!

Are you ready to unlock the secret to a brighter evening and a happier you?

To a life full of energy and joy,
- Emily
